The annual Messianic worship conference Meuchad is taking a new direction this year. According to a statement released by the organization, the focus will no longer be on music, but on the halachos of korbanos.
“Worship should unite us,” said a Meuchad spokesperson. “To achieve the best unity possible, we wanted to reach back to what the Bible says about worship. And when it comes to brass tacks, that basically means slaughtering animals and burning them. So this year we will be working our way through tractate Zevachim in the Mishnah.”
Teachers will provide training in various inspiring topics, such as the four essential steps of worship: slicing the animal’s throat with a sharp blade, catching the blood in a sanctified vessel, carrying the blood to the altar, and splashing it in the proper manner against the altar’s sides.
