SAN FRANCISCO, CA. — The world’s first Messianic Jewish food truck opened Wednesday. According to the owners, this food truck offers the best in Messianic Jewish fare: basically a bunch of random dishes in crock pots.
While the food is not kosher-certified by the local vaad, owner Stu Laidel insists that all of the food is “biblically clean,” meaning that it follows the rules set out in Leviticus. “We even make sure to include at least one vegan dish so that everyone can eat with us,” Laidel said.
Customers are encouraged, but not required to bring their own dish to share, as long as it is biblically kosher.
